Study notes
God creates the heavens and earth, and later a snake questions the woman, who says God told them not to eat from the tree at the center of the garden. She eats its fruit and shares it with her husband, and Yahweh God sends the human out of the garden.

-
After God blesses the human beings he made, what does he tell them to do?
God created the human in his image. In the image of God he created him. Male and female he created them. God blessed them, and God said to them, “Bear fruit, become many, fill the earth and subdue it, and rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every living thing that moves on the earth.”
-
What does Yahweh God allow the human to eat, and which tree does he warn him about?
Yahweh God commanded the human, “From every tree of the garden you may eat, yes, eat. But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat from it, because on the day you eat from it you will die. You will die.”
Note · Translation The verb is doubled, mot tamut, an emphatic “die, you shall die.” Both beats are printed.
-
Whom does the human blame for his eating, and whom does the woman blame for hers?
The human said, “The woman you gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.” Yahweh God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The snake deceived me, and I ate.”
